B score in CDP Climate Change 2025 Reporting
We received a B score, the third highest out of eight scores, in the Climate Change Report 2025 by the CDP, an international environmental NGO. The B score is for the management level and serves as recognition that we acknowledge and act on our environmental risks and their impacts.
External evaluation Acquired “Resilience Certification”
The strengthening of business continuity systems and other initiatives for recovery actions after a disaster were given high marks, leading to the acquisition and updating of our “Resilience Certification” for business continuity and social contributions. Resilience Certification is a system whereby, based on the “Guidelines for the Certification of Organizations Contributing to National Resilience” established by the Cabinet Secretariat’s National Resilience Promotion Office, the Association for Resilience Japan certifies companies, etc. that are taking an active approach to initiatives related to business continuity.
Won “Japan Resilience Award” for nine consecutive years
In recognition of our active approach to strengthening our resilient systems, such as deploying BCP and conducting recovery activities, we have won the “Japan Resilience Award” for nine consecutive years.
Selected as a Certified DX Business Operator
On October 1, 2021, we were certified as a Certified DX Business Operator under the Digital Transformation (DX) Certification System established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). Under the DX Certification System, the national government certifies business operators who have completed preparations to promote DX, such as formulating management visions and establishing strategies and systems, in response to the basic items of the Digital Governance Code established by METI under the Act on Facilitation of Information Processing.
Certified as a 2026 Outstanding Organization of KENKO Investment for Health
We were certified as a 2026 Outstanding Organization of KENKO Investment for Health (Large Enterprise Category) under METI’s Recognition Program for the Outstanding Organizations of KENKO Investment for Health. Outstanding Organizations of KENKO Investment for Health is a system that recognizes corporations that practice outstanding health management based on initiatives that address regional health issues and health promotion efforts advanced by Nippon Kenko Kaigi, with this year marking our fourth consecutive year of certification.
Participation in Initiatives
Endorsement of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations
We have been working to obtain and maintain ISO certification since FY2000 as part of our environmental initiatives. However, as a measure against the intensifying problems of global warming, we have shifted toward decarbonization efforts across the entire supply and value chain in addition to our own energy-saving efforts and, since FY2022, we have endorsed TCFD recommendations, shifting toward efforts in line with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.

Participate in the GX Future Consortium (transitioned from the former “GX League”)
Having previously participated in the “GX League” established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, we have been participating in its successor and expanded organization, the “GX Future Consortium,” since April 2026.
As we work toward reducing CO2 emissions by 50% by FY2030 and achieving carbon neutrality in FY2050, we will further enhance and expand the value of our environmental business through our activities within this consortium, including the Green Ball Project and the provision of the “GBP App,” as well as the corporate PPA business.
In addition, as a distribution trading company, we will support our business partners in procuring renewable energy and pursuing decarbonization. This will help reduce Scope 3 emissions, which account for the majority of our CO2 emissions, thereby contributing to emissions reductions across the entire supply chain.
