My past experience in field sales and local subsidiary management in both the Japanese and international markets has instilled in me the belief that “the joy of the people involved is my own joy.” In other words, delight among employees and their families, business partners, and our partners’ customers is proof that my work has been of service. Through my time working at Yamazen, I believe that manifesting this sentiment is part of what has made me an asset for the company.
Yamazen’s Management Philosophy of “Management of Fostering Personnel, Management of Breaking Through, and Management of Trust” is the path we have walked together with all of our stakeholders since our founding. Founder Takeo Yamamoto preached the spirit of a “community of shared interests.” This is our foundation for sustainable growth, and without this spirit, we cannot speak of Yamazen’s future. Based on this Management Philosophy and founding spirit, we made “synchronizing Yamazen’s sustainability with societal sustainability” one of the pillars of our new Medium-Term Management Plan, PROACTIVE YAMAZEN 2027.
Working on environmental initiatives and producing results has become our rightful responsibility. Keeping this always in mind will help Yamazen mitigate climate change and achieve a circular economy through the sale of products that reduce environmental impact as well as through a variety of environmental businesses. As the chairperson of the Environment Committee, I have poured my efforts into ensuring that the creation of new green businesses serves as a powerful growth driver.
Human resources are also our core competence. Yamazen strives to be a “specialized trading company with heart and skill,” able to connect people through technologies for manufacturing sites around the world and enriching lives. Our mission is to develop the high-level human resources that make this possible.
Our consistent goal is to remain a company that serves society.
Final management decisions in all of our business efforts are made with an eye toward what constitutes value for society. By establishing transparent governance and declaring our activities clearly, we will remain a company trusted by all of our stakeholders.
Yamazen continues its pursuit of sustainable growth with a long-term perspective. We will recognize challenges and promote concrete initiatives to achieve our vision. We promise to continue walking this path with our stakeholders and do our utmost to improve corporate value.
