Solutions Business

Business Description

Proposing automation and labor-saving measures in partnership with systems integrators

We work in collaboration with domestic business divisions, Group companies, and overseas branches, providing comprehensive solutions for production sites, including automation and labor saving. We have also launched the external network Yamazen Factory Automation/Systems Integrator Association, where we propose systems that are suited to various customer needs, and work to resolve our customers’ problems.

Approach to different industries

Based on the Domestic Production Equipment Wholesale Business, we have formed dedicated teams to propose comprehensive solutions to different industries, with the semiconductor industry, the three product industries (food, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics), the logistics industry, and the construction equipment industry as new focus areas.

Initiatives for the Solutions Business

Development of new mobility systems

The Total Factory Solutions Division Headquarters (TFS Div. H.Q.) has begun sales of ROBO-COTATZ, which deploys helper robots and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) in an optimal way to achieve efficient, low-cost automation. This system, developed jointly by the TFS Div. H.Q. and Group company TOHO INDUSTRIAL, places helper robots on platforms that allow for transportation and battery operation, making it possible to perform diverse tasks across multiple processes. While the helper robots are working, AMRs handle other transportation tasks, helping achieve optimization of manufacturing site work and capital investment.

The Helper Robot Test Lab, a place for co-creation

The TFS Div. H.Q. relocated and expanded its helper robot test facility, the Helper Robot Test Lab, to the Shin-Osaka Station area. Expanded to roughly three times its previous size, this lab has cutting-edge helper robots installed permanently. Equipped with private work test rooms and training rooms, it serves as a place for co-creation to a wide range of companies, from robot manufacturers to systems integrators and manufacturing companies, to further boost automation and labor saving.
