Q:What is Yamazen's profit return policy?

A:

Yamazen is working to strengthen and enhance our corporate culture and to raise profit levels, and we are committed to returning profits to our shareholders on a regular basis by maintaining a consolidated payout ratio of around 25% that reflects current profit levels. Investment of retained earnings is intended to effectively promote the sustainable development of our business and enhance shareholder equity. We aim to increase our corporate value through medium- to long-term growth to meet the expectations of our shareholders.

Q:What is Yamazen's dividends distribution status?

A:

It is March 31 for dividend of profit for the fiscal year and September 30 for interim dividend.

Q:When was Yamazen established?

A:

Yamazen started its business on May 30, 1947 in Fukui-city with capital of Yen 195 thousands and therefore as of May 30, 2007 Yamazen will be full 60 years old. But we made 1943 as company foundation year when Takeo Yamamoto, the founder, started his own tool sale shop in Osaka.

Q:What kind of business does Yamazen conduct?

A:

Yamazen is a trading company that handles "Production Equipments" and "Consumer goods (housing equipments and materials & home products)" for its core business. We define "Production Equipments" as manufacturing related goods & factory supplies that are used in production processes (cutting, grinding, assembling & etc.) of all kind of Products including "Automobiles", "Home appliances" and "Mobile-Phones". And we define "Consumer Goods" as facilities and equipment installed for our "house/home" such as kitchens, bath tubs, air conditioners, etc. as well as home electric appliances and furniture.We aim to contribute to "leading manufacturing industries world wide" and "creation of comfortable living space" by providing products and services in "specializing" way of business. And through these business activities in compliance with the company's vision, we aim to enhance our existence value (corporate value) of Yamazen.

Q:What is Yamazen's mid-and-long term management policy?

A:

We have been promoting our business in accordance with our business concept of"Realization of Sound and Sustainable Profit Growth" with three Management Policies of (1)Improvement of earning power, (2)Innovation of management system and (3)Solid financial condition.We believe it is important that our business partners will be satisfied (or impressed if possible) first of all with our products and services, and keep maintaining Yamazen attractive enough to be supported and trusted by our shareholders, business partners and employees.

 About Environments and Social Action Program

Q:Please advise on Yamazen's efforts for issues on environments and global warming.

A:

We have been tackling with the global environment issues since early days considering them as one of the key issues of our management policy, and have acquired ISO14001 for the first time in the business community of production goods suppliers.

Q:Please explain about "Eco-brand Campaign to reduce CO2".

A:

As everyone knows, Protocol to the Global Warming Treaty (the Kyoto Protocol) has gone into force as of February 16, 2005. Japan is also working on its national goal to cut emission of six kinds of greenhouse gas including CO2 by 25%, however, as for "civilian sector", it is facing many difficulties. We have been promoting since June 2005 a campaign called "Cut 10k ton CO2 Operation" calling for home energy saving as one of our measures to contribute to environmental protection. We have employed an "epoch-making sales promotional strategy" for this program, where we sell highly eco-friendly and energy saving products and we measure the volume of energy that would be saved by using these products and then convert volume into that of CO2 and finally we refund to the customers under certain rules. We are planning to extend this program to our backyard of Industrial and manufacturing fields.

Q:Please explain about Yamazen's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

A:

We believe that "company is an actor to continuously seek for earnings growth" and at the same time we believe that it is important for the company "to voluntarily fulfill its social responsibilities as a public organ". In order to act up to the philosophy, we have established a comprehensive norm of conduct named "Yamazen Group Corporate Activity Charter" that covers compliance requirements so that under which all Yamazen employees including group companies maintain their sense of morality, "respect for man's life and dignity, rules and regulations of our society as well as international rules and their spirit".To keep everyone informed about this charter and systematically carry out enlightenment of this program.
